Plesk Server Administrator (PSA) is a multi-platform, web-based software solution that simplifies and automates the administration of Linux web servers. With resellers and web hosters in mind, PSA helps administrators deliver better, faster service to their clients by providing server management tools to them.
PSA gives you the power to create and manage domains. For the end users, PSA lets non-technical persons perform a wide variety of management tasks - from creating new email accounts to managing entire domains - all with point-and-click simplicity.
Ease Workloads with unique 3 tier administration Administrators and their clients spend less time on routine management tasks, and clients gain the self-management control they want over their own domain.
Administrator Level:
At the highest level, server administrators can set up and manage system items like mail relay parameters, DNS server templates, and control panel configurations.
Reseller Client Level:
Working within limits set by the server administrator, clients of web hosting services can use PSA for multiple domain creation and management tasks.
- Create hosting for domains, including setting up standard and anonymous FTP service, and Web server allowances (traffic limits, scripting capabilities, Front Page extenesions, and SSL support).
- Set domain-level limits on user accounts, mail accounts and databases, manage DNS zones, and set up domain tools like Webalizer and IMP Webmail.
- Private label PSA as your own hosting interfac by setting screen paging options and specifying the control panel language.

Domain Owner Level:
Domain owners can perform both simple and complex tasks within their domains. PSA reduces domain owners' support needs and gives them the ability to:
- Create and manage email accounts-POP3, redirects, groups.
- Create new web users within a domain.
- Create and manage protected directories (SSL and non-SSL).
- Administer domain SSL certificates.
- Use both standard and anonymous FTP services.
- Create and manage databases with PHP MyAdmin.
- Utilize IMP Webmail email service.
- Access domain-level statistics

System Administrator has two points of entry. You can either log into the system as an administrator or as a user. To log in as an Administrator, you need a login name and a password. Use the following:
LOGIN NAME: admin
PASSWORD: plesk
To log in as a Client/Reseller, you must first log in as an Administrator (as outlined above) and create a Client. To create a Client, click on NEW CLIENT. Enter a unique user name and password. After creating the Client be sure to look at the Client PREFERENCES. Here is where you are able to setup the Client's domain creation permissions.Now you are ready to log in as the Reseller and create your own domains. Have fun! |
